So far this year there have been a number of contending swells (and fearless surfers ready to cruise them and take home the $130,000 up for grabs) for the 2010 Billabong XXL Big Wave Awards. So far the footage has come out of the Southern Hemisphere, look out for the Northern Hemisphere footage next year as El Nino pounds on Hawaii, California and Europe.
